🆔Create IDO Tutorial: From Token Creation to Presale Launch
This tutorial explains how to create an IDO on the PandaTool platform so projects can run a token presale or fundraising round before listing, allowing them to raise working capital in advance.
I. IDO — concept explained
1. What is an IDO?
IDO stands for “Initial DEX Offering.” It’s a way to launch tokens on a decentralized exchange (DEX). In short: before a token is listed for open trading, the project can raise funds via a presale — that presale is the IDO.
2. Why create an IDO?
After a project mints a token, it needs liquidity pools so the token can be traded. Creating those pools requires capital. An IDO allows the project to sell a portion of tokens at a lower price in advance to raise funds. Those funds are then used to provide liquidity, pay for marketing, etc.
Why would users participate? Mainly to acquire tokens at a lower price during presale and then sell them later after listing to capture the price difference.
3. How an IDO differs from a mint presale
IDO and “Mint” presales operate differently in several key ways:
Participation method: IDO is a web-based presale; Mint presales use direct wallet transfers.
Referral rewards: IDO supports multi-level referrals; Mint typically does not.
Presentation: IDOs come with a polished web page and detailed information; Mint presales do not.
Wallet authorisation: IDO participation requires a website wallet authorization; Mint does not.
In short: IDO requires users to log in to a website, connect their wallet, and authorize participation. Mint presales are completed by sending a direct transfer from a wallet. IDO pages are more marketing-friendly and informative.
II. How to create an IDO
Before you start, you must already have created your token and have the token contract address. Without that, you cannot create an IDO. Below is the step-by-step creation guide.
1. IDO creation overview
The IDO creation workflow has five steps:
Open PandaTool’s IDO creation page.
Set the IDO time, price, and other parameters.
Confirm via your wallet and create the IDO.
Deposit tokens into the IDO contract from the dashboard.
Edit IDO information (if needed).
2. Detailed IDO creation tutorial
Step 1 — Open the IDO creation page
Open the IDO creation tool at: https://pandatool.org/#/ido/createido?lang=en-US Click the “Connect Wallet” button in the upper-right corner.

A MetaMask or OKX Wallet browser extension window will pop up — connect the wallet. This is straightforward; if you’ve created a token on PandaTool before you’ll be familiar with it.
Step 2 — Configure IDO details

Fill in the required IDO parameters. There are many fields; here’s what each one means:
IDO name: Any name (for display only). Supports Chinese, English, or mixed.
IDO Token address: You must have already created the token. Make sure the contract address is correct — a wrong address will prevent IDO creation. After entering it, click “Query.”
Payment token: The token participants will use to buy in. On BSC, PandaTool supports BNB and USDT.
Start time: IDO start time — based on your computer’s clock.
End time: IDO end time — based on your computer’s clock.
Exchange Rate: Presale price, e.g.
1 USDT = 1 Tokenor1 USDT = 1000 Token.Wallet address: The address that will receive collected BNB/USDT from participants.
Minimum purchase amount: Minimum amount an individual can buy in a single transaction.
Maximum purchase amount: Maximum amount an individual can buy in a single transaction.
Referral reward settings: IDO supports inviting referrals across up to three tiers; you can configure reward percentages per tier.
Token distribution mode: Two options — immediate distribution or post-IDO claim:
Immediate claim: Tokens are sent to buyer addresses right after payment.
Claim affer end: Tokens are claimable by users manually after the IDO ends.
Referral note: A referrer must have participated in the IDO themselves to be eligible to earn referral rewards. If an address has no participation record, its referral link is invalid.
Step 3 — Wallet confirmation & create the IDO
After filling all fields, click “Create IDO.” Your wallet will prompt you to confirm the transaction.

Once creation succeeds, follow the prompts to enter the project dashboard (console).
Step 4 — Deposit tokens and start the presale
Creating the IDO does not immediately start the presale because the IDO contract must contain the tokens. Go to the dashboard and deposit (transfer) the intended number of tokens from your wallet into the IDO contract.

Click the deposit button, enter the token amount to deposit (based on your tokenomics and how many tokens you want to allocate to the IDO), then confirm in your wallet. Note: the wallet will require two confirmations.

After the deposit succeeds, you’ll see the token balance in the contract on the dashboard. The presale is now ready to accept participants.
Where do users participate? The dashboard includes a public entry point to the IDO page.

Click it, connect your wallet at the top-right, enter the number of tokens you wish to buy, click “Participate In Ido” and confirm in your wallet.

To invite friends/referrals: after you buy, copy your referral link and share it. When others open the link, connect their wallet, and participate, you’ll receive referral rewards (paid in USDT/BNB and delivered instantly).

You may ask: can core IDO info be edited later — receiving address, price, time? Yes. Return to the dashboard to make edits.
Step 5 — Edit IDO information
The dashboard has three main sections: Global Control, IDO Parameter Control, and Page Content Control. Details below.

1.Global Control
Deposit tokens: Covered above — deposit tokens into the contract to enable presale.
Update recipient: Change the wallet that receives participant payments.
Withdraw funds: If the presale has ended and tokens remain in the IDO contract, use this to withdraw them.

2.IDO Parameter Control

Update times: Change start and end times.
Update Amount limits: Change minimum and maximum purchase per wallet.
Update referral rewards: Adjust referral percentages for each tier.
Update exchange rate: Modify the presale price.
3.Page Info Control
Adjust the IDO landing page’s content — all edits require wallet confirmation.

Update logo: Upload an image or provide an image URL. You can revert to the default if needed. The logo appears at the site’s top-left and bottom-left (see image in the original layout).

Update background image: You may change the site background, but we generally do not recommend doing so unless you use a tasteful, dark background — a poor background can make the page look unattractive. You can always revert to the default.

Update Global Info(Edit global text fields) :
Home Intro: A one-line summary for the homepage, shown below the token name.

Whitepaper URL: The default is blank — fill this if you have a whitepaper URL.
Footer Detail: Copy that appears at the bottom-left of the site.

Site language: Choose either Chinese or English; the site will switch to the selected language. (Only one language can be active at a time.)

Update About(Project description): Edit the title and details of the project intro.

Update Features: Define up to four token features; each has a title and description.

Update Roadmap: Describe up to four development stages.

Update Social links: Add official project links (displayed bottom-right), e.g., X (Twitter), Telegram, Discord, GitHub.

With that, the IDO creation process is complete. Below are answers to common questions.
III. FAQs about creating an IDO
1. Do participant payments go directly to the project wallet or via PandaTool? Payments go directly to the project’s receiving wallet, after deducting referral rewards and PandaTool’s fees.
2. How does PandaTool charge fees? PandaTool charges a fixed fee plus a percentage commission; there are no other fees.
Fixed fee: 0.1 BNB when the project creates an IDO.
Commission: 2% taken from each IDO purchase.
3. Can the IDO website domain/URL be changed?
Yes, but this requires an additional fee. Contact PandaTool’s business team for specifics: @btc6560
4. Why are some referral rewards not credited? A prerequisite: a referrer must have participated in the IDO themselves. If the referrer’s address has no participation record, their referral link is invalid.
5. Can we limit the number of times a single wallet can participate? Not currently. PandaTool does not consider such a limit necessary at this time.
6. Can the tokenomics section on the website be edited? Currently that section is auto-generated and cannot be edited.
7. Are there other IDO page templates? At the moment only one template is available. More premium templates will be added later.
8. Can the website automatically toggle between Chinese and English?
Currently you can set the site to either English or Chinese; automatic simultaneous bilingual display is not supported. To implement a bilingual toggle, contact business: @btc6560
